Evening Sail
Had a great time with one of the latest starts I've ever tried... started sailing around 6PM. Very strong wind the whole time. It was lightest at the end (9 to 10PM) which was good because strong winds are harder to deal with when you can't see. Brought the motor along but never used it.
I'll cut right to the pictures.

Nice pics. Who needs a motor.
If you expect anyone (especially Sam) to keep the "No Cell Phone" rule, at the very least, you need to make her put the phone away when you take pictures that the whole blogosphere (and perhaps world) will see. If she can do it, why can't I?
P.S. Nice job on the boat full of chicks for the evening cruise.
Well done,my friend.
Well done.
I cut Sam a little slack that night because we had two sailors aboard, Guillaume at the helm (and main) and me at the jib. We were able to handle things pretty well without full alertness from her. Next time I'll be more strict!
Actually, she is the one who lined up the evening crew via that cell phone, which is why I don't actually have a no-cell phone rule, but a no-non-sailing-related cell phone conversation rule. Just in case someone calls who wants to go sailing. :-) But even that rule got awfully stretched that night. ;-)
Why do I have this sneaking suspicion that this comment was from Guillaume?
Andy, great pic of Mr.G and Samantha:)Will you email this photo out to our Kentucky man?
Your the best!

Thanks! Samantha was especially pleased to be captured on film with her stylin' new jacket. ;-)
I give you my personal guarantee that it wasn't me who made that comment. No way, Jose.
Great photos, this shows how much fun you had plus being brave by opting not to use the motor thus the adventure. I really admire the evening sail..
